Straight Curve Teen Film School for kids age 11 to 17

Straight Curve has introduced a Teen film camp for young new filmmakers who would like to learn how to make a short movie. It will give you an ideal opportunity to find out which role interests and excites you the most in filmmaking. For those of you who dream of working infront of camera, this is also an ideal opportunity to find out what it takes to bring a story together.

Straight Curve have been running film workshops in schools for the last year very succesfully and we have found it a great way to allow the students to be creative, work as a team and build confidence as well as having lots of fun!

The camps take place over two days at the weekend and for three days during the school holdiays. We can also arrange evening camps too so the choice is yours.

This is just a small taste of what you will learn on our film camp:

• Find out how to use our professional film making equipment including camera, tripod, lighting and sound
• Look at Camera angles, focus, white balance, crossing the line, shot sizes and more
• Learn how to write a short script, how to create a story board and organise a shooting script
• Find your props, look at your location, block your scene
• CAMERA, LIGHTS, ACTION! Shoot your short film
• Receive a DVD copy of your film and all of the exercises you have completed during your camp. This is perfect for showing people what you can do such as schools and colleges

We can arrange times to suit you and your child and prices start from just £150 per day. Our three day camp costs £300. Group booking discounts are available on application and accommodation can be arranged for students who need to travel down to London in a family home.
