The feature film script is finished. Our first feature film. We are well into pre-production. We have already produced a range of short movies including, "My Darling Wife" (winner London region of the Orange BAFTA 60 second short film competition.) and "superhero" (won the England region of the intel pentium short film competition)

We are ready to give ourself' a real challenge. This is an exciting journey for Straight Curve.

It is a Low/no buget feature. The synopsis is as follows::

"Something beginning with L.." is an old school screwball comedy with a contemporary take on the modern world of love, life and being on her majesty's secret service.It's a boy meets girl, boy looses girl, boy gets girl back with black comedic twists and character driven turns.Ben is an Englishman who returns from a three month sabbatical having searched the world for an answer to his shallow girlfreind nine to five government sponsered assassin's job and not following his dreams of being an artist.

Bo is an American girl with simple values who says what she feels, lives how she wishes and moves into peoples homes without their permmision.They meet on a Sunday morning. Meanwile on Monday the following day Ben's boss will either have him executed, maimed, blown up or possibly even fired without a good reference by the end of the working day.In the next 48 hours with the odds stacked up against our disillushioned hero and only a few good workmen occasionally on his side it will take the uninvited American chick in his flat to show him the error of his ways and open his eyes to the next chapter in his life .. but will he listen to her?

• Dimitri
  FSB (ex KGB russian secret police) agent
  Strong Russian features and embittered war torn world weary demeanour. Perfect Russian accent. The driest of humours. Needs to be 5'10+

• Gloria
  Sexy senior PA
  4th lead. Main role involved throughout the piece. Middle aged beauty in the guise of a perfect Money Penny foil to our hero.
  Husky RP voice and a confidant powerfull screen presence essential.


• Joe
  Unsympathetic security guard
  An attitude of utter contempt for any man who never served in the armed forces or has'nt got a closely shorn haircut. Over 5'10 muscular not a priority but shaven head a must

  25 years old 5'11 - 6'1. Naive cocky but honest loving sibling to Ben (lead). College dropout good looks.

  40+ actor needs to be 6'5 + massive phyisique no pretty boy looks. Scary role for a scary humourous scene

  Boss' bodyguard 30-40 years old close protection fully trained pro. Tactical ease at his job enjoys a witty banter with his peers. Peak fitness cool guy

  Sceret service accountant
  Quirky manic off beat role for an asian actor with martial arts training. 25-40 years old
  Large chewable soliloquy

• Cab driver
  Middle aged "seen it all before guv'nor" nonchalance. Mono-toned speech 30 year man and boy cabbie
  
• Copper #1 and copper #2
  Although nameless these two charecters are a natural double act that play off each other. Preferably actor's who have had performing experince together previously. Very quirky, off beat looks and interesting accents. Two funny scens with leads

  Belly dancing amazonian slovakian mail order boss' wife
  Eastern European accent, native if possible very sultry and sexy over 6 feet 25+ actress with dance skills. Will wear belly dancer costume thoughout so tonned belly a must
  Large key sequence with lead. Excelent acting skills ranging all the emotions
